Brett Gowder

BRETT GOWDER (Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals) – Originally from Southern California, Brett spent most of his youth in Marietta, GA, where he developed a deep passion for music. He began playing guitar and keyboards in elementary school and later taught himself drums and bass in high school. While attending Kennesaw State College, he played in the band DV8, which won the school’s Battle of the Bands competition and performed throughout metro Atlanta.

Music runs deep in Brett’s family. His mother emigrated from Nijmegen, The Netherlands, to the United States in 1960 aboard the S.S. United States – just two years before the Van Halen family made that same journey. Both families settled in the Los Angeles area, and while their paths never crossed, the shared musical lineage makes his role in GlowBand all the more special.

His father, A.W. “Ace” Logan, was an entertainer in the 1905s and ’60s, known for his rich velvet baritone. Fronting bands and performing as a soloist, he toured briefly in California and Texas and also acted and sang in several stage productions with community theaters.

Since the 1990s, Brett has been an active musician, performing on guitar, bass, piano, organ and drums in various settings, including churches and local tribute bands. In addition to live performances, he writes and records music, often collaborating with his daughter, who is also a musician based performer (keyboards, acoustic guitar, bass, and 12-string guitar.)
